Cesar NYC

Intarsio by Cesar is bold, rigorous and metropolitan

January 1, 2020 By Cesar NYC

Intarsio
It is deviating from the rules that makes the biggest impression. I love symmetry but not convention. I look for the original that inspired the repetition. Those who put their trust in tradition know that to innovate, sometimes, it is simply necessary to change the point of view. They create new proportions that give rise to new sensations. And in this, we discover a different kind of beauty each time.

Geometric
If beauty is authentic, then it creates ripples. It runs from one place to the next, creating complex associations. It has countless sides. It is always the same, always different.

Bold
Contrasts do not scare me, because they are usually only superficial. Tender feelings and stiff coolness, seriousness and smiles. They are all in us, the many facets of just one personality.

Open minded
The most wonderful minutes of the day are those unexpected moments. I never fully plan my day. Instead, I set the right conditions to make things happen and then go with the flow.

García Cumini
García Cumini was born out of the meeting of two cultures – Italian and Spanish, where creativity, beauty and joie de vivre are fundamental values. The company was launched in 2012 combining the experiences of Vicente García Jiménez and Cinzia Cumini. Two complementary personalities, at work and in life, the two designers have built their philosophy on the concept of Slow Design. They have a holistic approach to design, devoting time and energy to careful research and analysis. They take time to understand the lifestyle of clients who will be using their products and analyze for technical innovations and production processes in order to fully understand and exploit their potential. The result are shapes and objects designed to last, preserving the balance between emotion and function, art and technology, intuition and careful design.

Our Custom Design Tips:

  • Remember to include storage. Even the sleekest kitchen designs can hide storage units, so be sure to include plenty of kitchen cabinets, shelving, and pantries. While it might be tempting to be as minimalist as possible, it is still important to store your kitchen tools somewhere. This will help avoid clutter later on.
  • Be wary of trends. Your kitchen is a high traffic area, so try to opt for timeless pieces when building your modern kitchen design. A piece might look attractive right now, but you don’t want to get tired of it once the next trend pops up. Always be mindful of how your tastes may change.
  • Think functionality. Every piece of your kitchen design should have a purpose. This will let you fully optimize the space, using the features as well as enjoying them. While aesthetics will drive your design, remember to keep functional aspects in mind.
  • Consider various options. Exploring several design possibilities will help you decide exactly what you are looking for. If you settle on the first kitchen counter material you see, for example, you might not know what other kitchen countertop materials you could like better. Be patient during this process, as you want the kitchen space to be ideal.
  • Hire an expert. Professional kitchen designers will help you decide on every detail of the room, creating a complete picture that considers a variety of design and functional aspects. When hiring a designer, be sure to look at their portfolio and decide whether you enjoy their past designs, as an indication if this kitchen designer is the right choice for you.

Aesthetic And Functional Kitchen Choices

As you are designing your dream kitchen, picture yourself using every kitchen feature that you decide to purchase. This will ensure that you are making the right aesthetic and functional choices. Plan enough of your renovation budget for your kitchen. Homeowners will spend an average of 35% of their budgets on kitchen cabinets. This diligence will be worth it once the space is finished.
